Empire Plaster is pleased to work with architects, designers, and private homeowners in order to address particular needs that are not met by the stock mouldings**. Whether it is an unusual cornice profile to suit a specific room and its furnishings, a frieze belonging to a distinctive period, or a variation in design to accommodate a structural idiosyncrasy, we find that a creative collaboration of this kind rewarding for both client and Empire.

Usually, Empire is provided with a visual reference of the desired element. This can be a drawing, photograph, or perhaps just an identification of a similar element in our collection, along with the required changes. Empire then makes recommendations concerning mechanical requirements, proportion, and finally, visual integration.

** Stock mouldings are considered to be mouldings ordered to the specifications.  "Stock" mouldings are not kept "in stock"; this term indicates they are made from existing moulds only. All pieces, whether cornices, rosettes, niches friezes, are cast specifically for each order. We do not warehouse moulding. Mouldings are installed after priming the interior and before final painting.
